A polio patient from Saudi Arabia was refered to a clinic here in the UK, following knee osteotomy surgery over in UAE. Her recovery was nothing short of miraculous thanks to the bespoke orthosis manufactured by Ortholese, which enabled this patient to walk again after spending more than 5 years in a wheelchair.

After arriving in the UK from Saudi Arabia with her family, this patient was treated for extreme hyperextension of the knee, which had forced her to be wheelchair-bound for many years.

Ortholese were contacted by the patient's orthotist, who took a cast of her leg and contacted us, prescribing a cosmetic KAFO. Within one week of the order being placed, Ortholese supplied the bespoke orthosis, which the orthotist then fitted on the patient.

This patient, with the aid of an Ortholese cosmetic KAFO, was able to walk out of the clinic without needing her wheelchair.
